Best Place For Live Music

1st Place: Phoenix Park
2nd Place: House of Rock
3rd Place: The Plus

The Chippewa Valley has supported the live music scene unequivocally, and our preferences of where to see live music haven’t fluctuated much over the years. For the fifth year in a row, Eau Claire’s Phoenix Park has been voted the best place to see live music followed in second by the House of Rock (422 Water St., Eau Claire). Although the HOR hosts a variety of shows year-round (and nearly every weekend), both locations have been essential live music performance venues and the fleeting availability of an outdoor venue in Wisconsin perhaps adds to Phoenix Park’s appeal. The Plus (aka Pizza Plus, 208 S. Barstow St., Eau Claire) is a brand-new, but not-to-be-overlooked, member of the list. Over the past year, The Plus’ role in hosting both local and touring performers has added an element to the Valley music scene and established the venue as a substantial one. Missing the list by only one vote was another local favorite venue, The Mousetrap. –Lindsey Quinnies
