Best Public Park

A gurgling trout stream, walking and ski trails, historic buildings, a band shell and a zoo – all for free? With all that and more at Irvine Park in Chippewa Falls, it’s gotta be the Best Public Park in the Chippewa Valley! Located at the confluence of Eau Claire’s two rivers, and boasting an impressive display of native flowers and plants, pretty little Phoenix Park is home to the wildly popular Sounds Like Summer Concert series, starring local bands and musicians. And Eau Claire’s Carson Park has all the sports facilities: football, baseball, softball, tennis, and even horseshoes! Home to numerous community events plus two museums, this park on an oxbow lake is also home to bass and panfish. – Bonni Knight
