Best Bar For Outdoor/League Sports (volleyball, softball, etc.)

Wagner’s Lanes & The Complexx (2159 Brackett Ave. Eau Claire) is way, way, waaaay more than just a bowling alley. Sure, bowling is one thing, but after a huge investment in their space a couple of years ago, teams can now play volleyball, bean bag toss, and tons of other games all year round in one of the most popping leagues in the Valley, with impressive facilities to boot. Coming in second is Loopy’s Saloon & Grill (10691 Highway X, Chippewa Falls), who after opening in 1997 on the Chippewa riverfront has grown to include three regulation volleyball courts (with a heated dome) plus all the gear you need for tubing, canoeing, and kayaking. Third, it’s the downtown Eau Claire mainstay The Depot (222 E. Madison St.), whose nightly volleyball leagues are some of the most fun in the whole Valley. Competitive, rowdy … just how we like it. – Eric Christenson
