Best Barbecue

1st Place: Famous Dave’s
2nd Place: Biggie and Bull BBQ
3rd Place: Dickey’s Barbecue Pit

There’s a lot to argue about when it comes to what is arguably the most American of foodstuffs. Wood vs. charcoal? Dry rub vs. wet sauce? Barbecue vs BBQ? One thing locals aren’t arguing about is who’s the best of the best in the Valley. For the 10th straight year, Famous Dave’s (2911 Mall Drive, Eau Claire) has been voted as the tastiest ’cue to grace locals taste buds. Coming in second is a relative newcomer: Biggie and Bull BBQ. The pit masters from this food truck are known for slinging mighty meats and squealing good, stick-to-your-ribs sides. And in third is the cafeteria-style Dickey’s Barbecue Pit (311 E. Clairemont Ave., Eau Claire, and 1320 N. Broadway, Menomonie). — Bailey Berg
