The 30th Annual International Fall Festival spread across downtown Eau Claire’s Barstow Street on Saturday, Sept. 29. The festival places an emphasis on Eau Claire’s international culture, language, food, and music. The Elk Mound High School Marching Band (above) was part of the annual parade.

THEY BOTH FELT IT. Staged by the Eau Claire Children’s Theater at The Oxford theater, Avenue Q is “part flesh, part felt and all heart.” The show (which is meant for mature audiences) won of the Tony “Triple Crown” in 2004 for Best Musical, Best Score and Best Book. Shows remain on May 17, 18, and 19.

WINDOWS TO THE FUTURE. The floor-to-(almost)-ceiling windows in the main art gallery of the Pablo Center at the Confluence overlook the Chippewa River. The gallery is just one of the many airy spaces to be found within the new art center, which is slated to open September 22.

BACK TO IT. To celebrate the 10th-anniversary re-release of Justin Vernon’s debut Bon Iver album – For Emma, Forever Ago – the band staged a special concert at the BMO Harris Bradley Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The Eau Claire native and his full Bon Iver crew covered the album for fifteen thousand fans, at times reverting back to the original band’s turning group, including only Vernon and fellow Chippewa Vallians Mike Noyce and Sean Carey.
