GO WEST FOR ARTSWEST. This piece, "Duo v.2," was created by Victoria Kosel using hand-woven archival inkjet prints. It is one of many art pieces featured in the library's virtual gallery.

If you’re looking for something fun to do while enjoying the comfort of your home, look no further than the 41st Wisconsin ArtsWest juried art exhibit, sponsored by the L.E. Phillips Memorial Public Library. From now until Sept. 11, you can check out 39 works, which were selected by juror Leah Kolb, the curator of exhibitions at the Madison Museum of Contemporary Art. These 39 pieces were selected out of 220 entries submitted by 139 artists, according to the library’s website. Thirty-two artists appear in the show, with 28 different communities represented. The artwork includes pottery, watercolor, and photography – with many other media included. At the conclusion of the exhibit, prizes – courtesy of the Friends of the L.E. Phillips Memorial Public Library – will be awarded in the following categories: Best of Show, First Prize, Second Prize, Third Prize, and several Honorable Mentions.
