As the coronavirus pandemic continues, you may be wondering about Volume One’s Sounds Like Summer Concert Series. The concerts – which typically bring nearly 2,000 people to Phoenix Park to enjoy local music, food, and community every Thursday throughout the summer – are a staple in Downtown Eau Claire from the first week in June through the last week in August.

To be frank, we still don’t know if/when/how the concert series will happen this year. But if it can, it won’t be until later in the season. (Under normal conditions, the series would have kicked off this year on Thursday, June 4.) Currently, “mass gatherings” of more than 10 people are prohibited by the Eau Claire City-County Health Department, so we’ll be closely following that guidance and we’ll proceed if and when we know it’s safe for our bands, vendors, and you.

So hold tight, keep your fingers crossed, and hopefully one day soon, we can all be down there at the park together again, celebrating our community, having a good time in the sunshine, and making the most of this terribly disappointing situation. You’ll hear more from us soon.

In the meantime, enjoy checking out a plethora of photos from years past on our Sounds Like Summer Concert Series website.
