Grant Can Enhance Your Business and Downtown

Tom Giffey |

If you are the proprietor of a downtown Eau Claire business with a plan to do something new that will make your business – and the neighborhood – better, listen up: The semiannual deadline is fast approaching for the Downtown Enhancement Grant program.

The program, overseen by Downtown Eau Claire Inc., offers a $2,000 grant twice a year “to further enhance the downtown aesthetic and overall quality of goods, services, and the downtown experience.” The grant is open to any DECI-member business that is located downtown and has been in operation for two years or more.

Each application must include an enhancement plan that incorporates at least one of DECI’s investment areas: creative business enhancement; providing community cultural enrichment; or advancing the mission, vision, and strategic goals of DECI.

Learn more about the program and apply for a grant online at downtowneauclaire.org. If you’ve got questions, contact Aaron White at (715) 839-4914 or aaron.white@eauclairewi.gov.

But act fast: The deadline is Jan. 26.
