Downtown Menomonie will light up Thursday, Dec. 12, for its 16th annual WinterDaze event. Santa and Mrs. Claus will be present and ready to meet their adoring young fans starting at 4pm in the Clock Tower Plaza. Horse-drawn wagon rides and hot cocoa will be on the itinerary for families in attendance. This year’s parade is themed “Christmas in Hollywood,” so spectators can expect a spectacle worthy of the stars along Menomonie’s streets.

Organizations from all industries and interests will make up the show. The parade begins at 6:30pm, and traverses Downtown Menomonie featuring up to 55 entries. Immediately following the parade, a large fireworks show will begin over Lake Menomin, sprinkling sparks across the night sky as attendees watch. This community tradition is organized by Downtown Menomonie Inc., and is sure to be the highlight of any family’s holiday season.  Find more information about the parade on Facebook
