Begin your summer by participating in the 21st annual Fresh Art Tour, a self-guided road trip that takes you through the home studios and galleries of the Chippewa Valley and Lake Pepin area. At each of the 16 participating sites visitors are invited into come inside and view art of all mediums, from jewelry to ceramics to metal and woodwork, made by various Wisconsin artists. Cindy King, a co-manager of the tour, encourages people to take the time to invest in the art culture within the area. “It is a chance for people that have settled in the Pierce and Pepin area who have art careers to share their work with the people of the county, and to showcase the spring season, wildflowers, beautiful backroads,” King said. Snacks, brochures, and tour maps will be available along each stop of the trip. In addition to opening up their homes and studios for visitors to view their artwork, each artist will also have works for sale. The tour takes you on the historic Great River Road and other backroads of Wisconsin, which wind through miles of wildflowers and woodlands, Wisconsin’s own art exhibit.
