FIX IT UP: Getting It Just Right with Brooks Home Renovations

V1 Staff

Brooks Home Renovations came onto the scene in 2006, when owner Tony Brooks decided to go solo and start doing remodels, house flips, and more. “I worked 90 hours a week for three years to start everything,” Tony said. “I have a lot invested in it: years of my life.” Everything that he had, he put back into the company, which allowed him to grow the business slowly over the years. He hired employees with attention to the values they shared with him: honesty, work ethic, and family focus. Transparency is also a huge motivator for Brooks Home Renovations. “Our system is set up to reduce ambiguity wherever possible,” Tony said. Clients use an online portal to check in on progress, from broadstroke scheduling to the minutiae of lead contractor notes. Before any paperwork is signed, customers are walked through a bid line item by line item. Only when you’re completely comfortable does the project begin. Once, Tony worked with a woman for years to get a kitchen design for her classic home just right. Only when she was absolutely ready and satisfied did they begin, and the result was beyond her expectations. “I’m there to help them get through something that can be very stressful,” Tony said. To that end, the people at Brooks Home Renovations work tirelessly to ensure an easy project with a beautiful result.
