A Winsome Wine List: Steakhouse Wins Award of Excellence for Wine Selection

Lauren Fisher |

Wondering where to wine?  A quick consult of Wine Spectator Magazine will lead you to a familiar place.  Johnny’s Italian Steakhouse, located at 4751 Owen Ayres Court in Eau Claire, won a place among the top wine-serving restaurants in the world in the publication’s 2018 Restaurant Awards.  The Award of Excellence is given to restaurants that feature wine lists that include quality producers and stay true to the restaurant’s theme and price point.  “We are extremely honored by this top award,” owner Tom Larson said of the news. “It speaks to the caliber, hard work and dedication of the entire Johnny’s Italian Steakhouse team and our vision for the unique experience Johnny’s brings to the region.”  Inspired by prohibition-era culture and cooking, Johnny’s Italian Steakhouse serves salads, sandwiches, seafood, and of course, a steak for any palette.  The steakhouse will be featured in the July 17 issue of Wine Spectator.  The publication will also add Johnny’s to a database of wine venues that allows people to search more than 3,000 entries based on location, wine features, price point, cuisine, and more.  For more information about Johnny’s, visit johnnysitaliansteakhouse.com, or find it on the database at restaurants.winespectator.com.
