The sun is out, it’s 70 degrees, and what better way to spend the perfect day than grilling out on the lawn with a cold one in hand. You take a bite of that first summer burger, but the flavor isn’t quite as magical as you hoped. The solution? Sauce Appeal, the sister company to Chip Magnet, brings  you sauces loaded with flavor, featuring a variety of hot sauces, barbecue sauces, club sauces, and more.

“Bold, Flavorful, Local” is the name of their saucy game, and you can’t go wrong with high-quality ingredients to put the cherry on the top of your cookout. With one bite of a burger topped with a delicious Sauce Appeal sauce, tears will form, angels will sing, and the summer will never have to end.

“We are working on hotter sauces, probably like a ghost chili or scorpion pepper sauce. In the fall we will have cocktail, worcestershire, and steak sauce, and hopefully ketchup.” – Alexis Lucas, Sauce Appeal

“From to classic Worcestershire sauce to seasonal cranberry hot sauce, we feed your family only what we would feed our own. We are committed to making non-GMO, vegan, and gluten-free products and we strive to use regionally- and organically-grown produce whenever possible,” it says on their website. Did this product just rip off its glasses and become Superman Sauce Appeal or what? With natural ingredients and fresh taste, cookouts will never be on the same level again.

One review on their Facebook page reads, “Good Lord... this has to be the best sauce on the planet. Thank you!” See their many sauce options, or personalities as Sauce Appeal refers to them as, ranging from an Authentic Taco sauce, Versatile Fresno, and Spicy Jalapeño.

So what’s the best use for these sauces? Creator of Sauce Appeal, Alexis Lucas mentioned, “Fresno! It’s our most popular sauce, very much like Frank’s Red Hot. We use it on almost everything, pizza, chicken wings, whatever you want. It’s also very good on burgers if you like something spicy,” she said. “The Gunslinger is great on ribs, pork tenderloin, meatloaf, just about anything you can imagine.”

They’ve got loads of great recipes on their blog, mamachips.com, and a bunch more new sauces coming out. Lucas adds, “We are working on hotter sauces, probably like a ghost chili or scorpion pepper sauce. In the fall we will have cocktail,Worcestershire, and steak sauce, and hopefully ketchup.”

Opening up just this past Christmas, Lucas states, “We opened Chip Magnet in 2011 and felt we kind of exhausted that area. We now have 15 salsas available, so we thought sauces was the next step.” Sauce Appeal is locally made with a kitchen located in Banbury Place.
