EC City Council Seeks Applicants to Fill Vacant District 1 Seat

V1 Staff |

The recent passing of David Duax left a vacancy on the Eau Claire City Council, and city leaders are moving quickly to fill the seat. The council is now accepting applications from residents of Aldermanic District 1 (which covers the northeastern corner of Eau Claire – see the city website for a map) who want to fill the vacancy. The term begins June 22 and ends April 19, 2016. Interested in serving your community? Then submit a letter to the city clerk with your name and address, telephone number or other method of contact, and a one-page statement explaining why you’d like to serve on the council and what relevant experience you have. Submit your letter by 10am Thursday, June 4, to the Eau Claire City Clerk, 203 S. Farwell St., Eau Claire, WI 54701, or by email to donna.austad@eauclairewi.gov. Applicants will each make a five-minute presentation at the Monday, June 8, council meeting, and the council will select a new member on June 9. Good luck!
