A NEW YEAR BOOM. Thousands gathered in downtown Eau Claire on New Year’s Eve to ring in 2017 with all kinds of festivities including lantern parades, live music at every conceivable venue, a swanky gala/fundraiser at The Lismore, a kids party at the Children’s Museum, and fireworks at midnight.
