Another Chippewa Valley native is getting some awesome accolades on a national scale. A song by Yohuna – the project of singer/songwriter Johanne Swanson – called “The Moons Hangs In The Sky Like Nothing Hangs In The Sky” was named among Rolling Stone’s 50 Best Songs of 2016, coming in at number 41. It’s pretty awesome to see a song like that on the list of one of the most respected music publications in the world. Rolling Stone called the song “an enigmatic yet irresistible ballad” and said Swanson sings “in a breathy murmur that hints at intimate heartache, yet refuses to give any of her secrets away.” The song appears on Yohuna’s awesome debut record Patientness, which came was released by record label Orchid Tapes in September.
