Autumn Rush” by Alecia Acker
Oil on stretched canvas, 36” x 36”

Alecia Acker resides in Eau Claire with her husband and two daughters. She works full time as a registered nurse by day and an artist by night. She enjoys spending time outdoors and with her family.

“I was inspired to create this piece in the fall of 2015 as a focal piece for my Artist’s Premier in November. The inspiration for the piece came to me while out on a run near Mount Tom in Eau Claire. I have always had a connection with nature, and have been mesmerized by light and movement in the environment surrounding me. As I was running, I burst through a pile of leaves that the wind had caught and wrapped around my legs. I suddenly felt this rush of energy and felt as though I was captured by the essence of fall as I ran through the leaves. This painting is reminiscent of that moment. The life, the energy, the scent ... the Autumn Rush of leaves carrying me through the season. I love using nature as my main inspiration for photography and creating unique and abstract oil paintings.” – The Artist
