“Luna Moth” by Mark Lone
Digital Giclee, 12” x 24”

Mark Lone is an Augusta resident who has had a career doing illustration for six years. Mark has made work for galleries throughout the U.S., and has licensed work through Odd City Entertainment and MGM studios.

“The ‘Luna Moth’ piece is a very special piece to me, as the day I was working on this my grandmother Arlys Lone passed away of natural causes. When I heard the news, I kept drawing to try to keep my mind off feeling grief. I couldn’t stop thinking about how she always loved when I drew animals and nature scenes instead of my usual comic book, horror work. She even saved all the drawings I made for her as a child, they were mostly animals and pirate ships, or He-Man. In a way it’s sort of a tribute to my grandmother who was always very encouraging of my art. You can get a signed poster version of ‘Luna Moth’ and many other prints through my online site, markloneart.bigcartel.com, or contact me directly at markloneart@gmail.com.” – The Artist
