Get ready to rock out for our very own third rock from the sun. The second annual Jam It For The Planet will be taking place April 23 at The Plus in downtown Eau Claire. People of all ages can come together to celebrate Earth Day and the musical talents of Midwestern bands and artists. Irie Sol, The People Brothers Band, and Eddie Danger will be headlining the event (for a full list of musical performers, check out the event’s website). This year’s theme is  “Mama Earth Celebration,” wherein Jam It will be celebrating female role models and all of the ways female leadership has added to how we view and strive for sustainability.  Support activism focused on environmental and community issues by listening to keynote speakers, browsing exhibitor and vendor areas, and participating in Earth Day crafts. Besides the crafting station, children will be treated to guest speaker Recyclone, an Earth Day-based superhero. A portion of all ticket sales will go to support the Market Match Program (which helps those in need stretch their dollars at the Eau Claire Downtown Farmers Market) and WHYS Community Radio.
