The Blue Devil Jazz Orchestra

UW-Stout has been awarded a $50,000 grant from the U.S. Department of State to take its Blue Devil Jazz Orchestra and Chamber Choir to China for a three-city tour from May 11 to May 21, 2016. The jazz group and choir are scheduled to perform in Yinchuan, Guilin and Hangzhou. With a lineup of songs about American history, especially African-American, and a focus on New Orleans-style street jazz. The UW-Stout contingent is expected to be 20 singers and 16 instrumentalists.
