Classical music lovers have a chance to “Dance with ECCO” at 7:30pm on Saturday, Nov. 7, at Grace Lutheran Church, 202 W. Grand Ave. Guest Conductor Kevin Peters will lead the Eau Claire Chamber Orchestra for the concert. Peters was recently named artistic director of the Red Cedar Symphony in Rice Lake. He has a master’s degree in instrumental conducting from Ithaca College, and he has conducted shows for a variety of theater companies in the Chippewa Valley. Compositions by Mozart, Debussy, Piazzolla, Bartok, and Stravinsky will make up the dance card for the chamber ensemble. UW-Eau Claire dance professor Julie Fox will give a pre-concert talk about some of the pieces at 6:45pm, and self-taught visionary artist Mari Jackson will have her nature artwork on display. In addition, soloist Serena O’Meara will perform on the harp. Tickets are $23 for adults, $20 for seniors, and $8 for students. They are available at Festival Foods, Mega Co-op East and West, Neff’s Piano Shop, and at the door. For more information, call (715) 831-3331.
