There’s a hilarious outtake from The Millenium’s video shoot for their song “Take Me” off their debut album, It’s So Much Friendlier With Two, in which singer Matt Hasenmeuller is in the middle of a passionate verse, surrounded by bright gold confetti, when he chokes a little on an errant piece. But that’s just an outtake. The proper video itself has garnered a ton of views online, and even caught the eye of mtvU, a basic cable channel owned by MTV that is available in more than 750 college campuses around the U.S. The channel doesn’t have all the drama and baby-mama reality programming of its parent network; it mostly sticks to music videos (a breath of fresh air for purists who lament MTV’s treacherous path away from its namesake: Music). But either way this is a huge step for the band, getting their songs and stylings seen by a ton of young people. Here’s hoping they don’t choke!
