Time to Spruce Up Downtown

V1 Staff

Spring cleaning isn’t just for your own home and yard: City streets, parks, and sidewalks need some springtime love, too. If you can push a broom, pick up trash, or squirt Windex, Downtown Eau Claire wants your help for the annual Our City Spring Clean-Up. Beginning at 9am on Saturday, May 16, hundreds of volunteers are needed to fan out around downtown Eau Claire to sweep, plant flowers, eliminate litter, and generally make the central city look spiffy. Volunteers also will help numerous downtown nonprofit groups. Volunteers will tackle cleanup in all parts of the downtown: North and South Barstow streets, Water Street, and West Grand Avenue. If you’re interested in helping, call (715) 839-4914 or email downtown@eauclairewi.gov, then get ready to roll up your sleeves alongside your neighbors.
