While we do cover the entire Chippewa Valley region from Menomonie to Chippewa Falls, we know that we cover downtown Eau Claire sometimes more than its fair share. Of course Eau Claire is the biggest city in the area, so there’s that, but when it comes to downtown EC there genuinely are a lot of headlines generated – especially lately. And from the rumblings both above and below ground, that’s not likely to subside anytime soon, which is good. However, Volume One only comes out in print once every other week, so sometimes we’ve got a story printed here in our pages that you may have already read on VolumeOne.org more than a week before. When so much is happening so fast, that’s just the nature of the game. However, when it comes to getting the “breaking” news on things like the Confluence Project, hotels, restaurants, events, and all sorts of things that make up a locals news feed lately, VolumeOne.org and our Facebook page have been doing pretty well getting you a lot of good information quickly. So if you’re not already following us in those places, give it a try. Plus, there’s a lot of stuff you can’t get in the print edition either (and vice versa). See you there.
