Michael Perry Busts Out Audiobook With Prizes

James Johonnott

Best-selling Wisconsin author Michael Perry’s The Scavengers is now available as an audiobook. Explore a haunting, yet humorous look at an American futurescape with a precocious young girl – Ford Falcon – and her pet rooster, Hatchet. In Ford Falcon’s world of scrap and old machines from our time, only the inventive and creative survive to make it home. The audiobook is available from a variety of online retailers, but if you purchase it or the hardcover edition of the book from Perry’s website between now and March 31 you will be entered in a drawing for a special prize pack. The prize pack includes the Bon Iver t-shirt that inspired the “Bon Hiver” shirt that Ford Falcon’s father wears; one of Perry’s earliest books, How to Hypnotize a Chicken, a work that the author considers particularly embarrassing, while claiming it contains accurate chicken hypnosis techniques; and Cluck: From Jungle Fowl to City Chicks, an anthology of chicken photos with additional fowl hypnosis tips by Perry. You can purchase The Scavengers, and other books at his website: www.sneezingcow.com.
