When November comes
And the wood is in
The garden put to bed
And the supper dishes done
Evenings are for reading aloud.

We choose the book together
Tom has to read so he won't fall asleep
Sometimes gets carried away
Becoming the characters
a Welsh accent or a Southern drawl.

Throughout the day we discuss the book
Will the villain get his comeuppance?
Will the hero/heroine find true love?
How will it all end?
