Hard-Working Stout Grad Illustrating Up a Storm

Zack Katz |

Since landing herself on New York Times’ bestseller list in the spring of 2013, children’s author and Chippewa Valley familiar Eliza Wheeler has whipped up a healthy batch of stories geared for young minds. In addition to writing and illustrating her own work, such as last year’s Miss Maple’s Seeds, Wheeler has lended her hand to other writers – most recently on Mara Rockliff’s The Grudge Keeper, the story of a nuisance the residents of Bonnyripple are forced to deal with. She recently signed a four-book deal to illustrate a pre-teen series by Tricia Springstubb. Now living in Los Angeles, Wheeler and her husband both studied art at UW-Stout. Find The Grudge Keeper and catch up with this blooming artist’s other work at wheelerstudio.com.
