Tiny Tots Playhouse Is Ready to Have Fun

Tom Giffey |

Chippewa Valley kiddos now have a new, fun, and educational place to play: Tiny Tots Playhouse in Fall Creek will celebrate its grand opening on Thursday, May 1. Tiny Tots – which bills itself as a “family-interaction themed playhouse” – is located inside a recently renovated former church at 320 S. Wisconsin St. With the help of volunteers and donors, Tiny Tots now features playtime attractions for young kids (and their grown-ups!), including a mini grocery store, a theater with dress-up clothes, a LEGO world, an indoor tree fort, funhouse mirrors, a NASCAR station, as well as areas for arts and crafts and a library. Tiny Tots is the brainchild of local mom Sally Ellison, who wanted to create an educational play place for rural parents and children who want to get out of the house but don’t want to drive too far to a playgroup or children’s museum. Ellison emphasizes that Tiny Tots is a place for children and their parents or caregivers to play together, not a day care or a drop-off center. A ribbon-cutting ceremony will be at 9:30am May 1; after that, Tiny Tots will be open 10am-3pm Tuesdays and Wednesdays, 10am-4pm Saturdays, and noon-5pm Sundays. Admission is $3 per child, and adults and caregivers are free. Tiny Tots is nonprofit and run by volunteers, so all proceeds go toward making the place even more fun.
