“The Hunting Shack” by Andrew Ritchie
 digital media

Andrew Ritchie is a second shift freelance illustrator and a corporate graphic designer from 7-5. He’s drawn illustrations for comics, books, card games, rock bands and monster models.

“This piece was designed for the cover of the graphic novel adaptation of ‘The Hunting Shack.’ Adapted by Rob Mattison and myself, the original novel was written by Gunnard Landers and published in 1979. He wrote the novel while living in Fall Creek and most of the story is set near August and Coon Forks Lake. The story follows a hunting party of lifelong friends who discover one of them is a serial murder. They just don’t know which one. My goal with the cover was to set the mood and location of the story. While much of my work is dark due to the subject matter, I enjoy the challenge of creating the same vibe with more mundane imagery.”  – The Artist
