Considering that he’s been peppered with questions from new colleagues and reporters since he took the helm at UW-Eau Claire in July, it’s only fair that Chancellor James Schmidt has turned the tables. The new chancellor has launched an online effort called “One Question” to – in his words – “get to know UW-Eau Claire and our community better.” Each week, Schmidt will solicit responses to a single question from students, faculty, staff, alumni, and community members. The first question – “What one thing that I may not know about makes UW-Eau Claire special to you?” – is kind of a softball, but this guy’s got a stack of degrees, so they may get tougher.
