A lot has happened in the world of Minneapolis rapper Prof since his last visit to the House of Rock in February. As one of the hardest-working and visible independent artists on the national hip hop circuit, the work never seems to stop. Immediately after releasing his commercially successful “King Gampo” in late 2011, he hit the road hard as support for two major tours with Indy heavyweights Atmosphere and Grieves and that allowed his name to reach new heights it never had seen previous to that. It seemed as soon as he got home from those tours, he got asked to be direct support for West Coast legend Andre Nikatina on another US tour. Somewhere in between all of that madness he found a way to record a brand new project, the latest and third installment in his Kaiser Von Powderhorn series (nicknamed KVPIII). Solid collaborations and performance spots with industry veterans like Yelawolf, Killer Mike, Tech N9ne, Mac Miller, and Atmosphere have only cemented the fact that Prof isn’t going anywhere, so I suggest you join in the fun before he is starting fights at the MTV Awards and playing Arenas alongside Lil Wayne. Through hard work and an increasingly insane live show, Prof has been able to take his popularity to new heights that no one could have imagined. If you haven’t seen him perform, you will have a chance to at the House of Rock on November 10th alongside some Eau Claire local mainstays Mr Pizzy and K-Way of Duce Duce Entertainment.
