The air seems to get a little more energetic around the end of February as bands around the Chippewa Valley start channeling their favorite musicians in preparation for Decadent Cabaret. The three-day festival – in its 34th year – showcases three nights of quick, 20 minute tribute sets by local bands at The House Of Rock. Thursday night, Feb. 28 sees the relatively new addition of AcoustiCaberet, with Jim Pullman, Savannah Smith, The Procrastinators and more starting at 9pm. Then things kick off with a bang on Friday, March 1 at 7pm with 10 bands, including The Frenettes, FanOffBirdSafe, The Jaggernauts and Left Wing Bourbon. Saturday, March 2 closes out the festivities with (among others) Irie Sol, Island of Dr. Lee, DIY Daisy and Yam Cannon. There’s already rumors of everything from Van Halen to the Eagles being floated around, so don’t miss seeing your favorite bands covering your favorite bands.
