Lazy Monk Brewing Dances the Can-Can

Thom Fountain |

Eau Claire’s own Lazy Monk Brewing is busting at the seams. The not-quite-two-year-old brewery opened a tap room last year in Banbury Place and is already expanding, doubling in size over the next few months and putting in a new bar. Lazy Monk said the tap room has consistently been packed to the brim, which prompted the shift. That isn’t the only change for Lazy Monk, though. The brewers are also busting out of kegs and growlers and adding a canning operation. The preliminary designs for the cans are done and the process is taking off, with the equipment arriving in spring. Watch for the 16-ounce tallboy cans coming sometime in the future, and keep up with the action at LazyMonkBrewing.com and on Facebook.
