Field Report Reports Tour and Upcoming Album

Thom Fountain

Chris Porterfield, the former local many may know from the group Conrad Plymouth is embarking on a new musical path: Field Report. The group, while sharing members and even songs with Conrad Plymouth, has been taking off nationally with a write-up in Rolling Stone, a new record deal and even some high praise – and some tour dates – with from Counting Crows frontman Adam Duritz. Field Report, which, yes, is an anagram of Porterfield (thanks for asking), will be putting out their first full length record on September 11 with Partisan Records. The recording was done right in town at April Base. Until then, there’s a few tracks for free online at the band’s website, Fieldreport.bandcamp.com.
