“RIVERS DON’T BUCKLE.” Despite the recent heat wave (or because of it) and a rash
of buckling asphalt, the Chippewa River in Eau Claire remained as busy as ever with
area tubers letting the current take them wherever it pleased (which is mostly from
Phoenix Park to a boat landing near Water Street).
