Well, it’s about that time again. That time when your Thursday nights get easy and awesome. Volume One is officially announcing the 2012 iteration of the Sounds Like Summer Concert Series in Phoenix Park. Every Thursday from June 7 to August 30 your ears will be soothed and/or rocked by a variety of local musicians, and this year it’s quite the variety. We’re bringing back some old favorites, but 30% of the lineup is brand new to Phoenix Park, including some new special performances like a barbershop battle and pipes and drums. See the full lineup in the ad on page 47.

Each night will feature an opening performer at 6 pm, with headliners starting at 6:30 pm. After the show, you can stick around Phoenix Park to see the High Octane Fire Troop or head to The Firehouse for the official after party.

Besides music, as always there will be plenty of vendors and nonprofit organizations set up to grab a bite to eat and chat with.

Sarah Krueger, QuinnElizabeth and The Frenettes will start the season off on June 7, so we’ll see you there.
