Danceworks is an annual dance performance put on by the UW-Eau Claire Dance Program. It features students from the program and is predominantly choreographed by the students as well. This year’s Danceworks is entitled “Convergence.” The production will feature 11 pieces that involve many styles of modern dance including contemporary and tap. Since September, student dancers have been rehearsing and choreographing the bulk of the show’s pieces. Two of the numbers have been choreographed by UWEC faculty Julie Fox (dance program advisor) and F. Reed Brown (Department of Theatre Arts). These talented students will bring all 11 to life at three entertaining performances. Danceworks has always been a phenomenal representation of what these local dancers can do, and this year will be no different. For anyone who likes dance, Danceworks is a must-see.
