A veteran musician in this region for more than 30 years, Bruce Burnside played with the Eau Claire Chamber Orchestra for his original stage production “Unsung Stories Of The Civil War,” and at many State Theatre shows. Well the co-founding member of Big Top Chautauqua has this month released his fifth solo CD, For All the World to See. Burnside brings decades of research and expertise to this album combined with flavors of his numerous influences, like Sam Bush, Django Reinhart, and Robert Johnson. For All the World to See is a reflective, down to earth orchestration with a truly mind-blowing collection of vintage fretted instruments. On 15 tracks, Burnside weaves interesting choices of words and instrumentation to enhance the stories and to give us all a bit of comfort in the Valley, as we discover and accept ourselves … for all the world to see.
