“I like to think of art as a collaborative thing, just in the sense that your ideas are never just yours; they are a culmination of everything you see, hear, and experience.  Being able to start with an idea and to see how it changes and grows into something you never expected it to is, to me, one of the most rewarding things about
making art.  Well, that, and playing with pretty colors every day.”  – The Artist

What we were thinking: “Loft, a watercolor piece created by local graphic design student, depicts the interior space of an abode. She has used simple yet varying line weights in a combination with solid blocks of color to generate the style of this rendering. A viewer can be drawn in to the details of the furniture, fixtures, and artwork which seems to yield a breakfast club poster. This piece was used for its simplicity and relative meaning so many young adults and college kids can side with."V1 Designer Josh Smeltzer.
