The 25th anniversary of the Country Fest is upon us! Since 1987, this music festival has been held every year in Cadott, a small town a mere 30 minutes outside of Eau Claire. Every year over 100,000 fans enjoy outdoor music, great food, camping, and, of course, ... a little drinking – as evidenced by some of this year’s sponsors: Miller Light, Captain Morgan, and Jack Daniels. This year headline artists include Carrie Underwood, Lady Antebellum, Miranda Lambert, Trace Adkins, and Gretchen Wilson will perform. The atmosphere of the festival is rowdy and jovial (read: “Whooo! Party!”). People are friendly and it’s a place where you can walk from campsite to campsite to chat, take pictures, and people watch. Dressing up in crazy costumes, running rampant, and acting crazy is all expected for a normal attendee. This four-day festival has gotten huge in the last decade, and many attendees do some good ol’ fashioned camping at this event, which means that you cannot bring your car to the campground. The grounds surrounding the venue include luxuries such as free showers, port-o-potties, ATMs, water stations, night lighting, you know – the goods.
