Studio 123 in Banbury Place is the latest local shop to hit the Eau Claire community. Lisa and Kathy Seitz, previous owners of Stone Tree on Water Street, were invited to set up the new shop with Paul Brehm of Fat Bottom Glass. With Lisa’s background in jewelry and beading, Kathy’s in framing, and Paul’s in glassblowing, the store is expectedly eclectic. Their retail area includes a wide range of local artwork, beadwork, blown glass, jewelry, jewelry-making supplies, drums, and sculptures. The shop also includes Kathy’s custom picture framing and matting, plus Paul, Loyd Lowe, and Ryan Smith are the talented glass blowers and all of their work is also for sale in the retail shop.

“It’s a real unique place,” says Kathy. “You can even come in and watch the guys glass blow.” It’s not a large store, but it certainly seems it with all the crafty stuff them jam-pack in there. “It’s a full shop with workshops in beading and Paul is even talking about starting workshops in glass blowing.” Visit them at Building 13’s Suite 123, check them out on Facebook, or call 379-7625.
