South Middle School poetry all stars.

South Middle School is proud to have three students receiving awards and honors from the Wisconsin Fellowship of Poets statewide poetry contest. Cloe Carr, an eighth grader, placed second for her work Cognizant Breath and was followed by seventh grader Jin Chen in third place with My Shadow out of 400 submitted poems in the middle school section. Seventh grader Taylor O’Branovich also received praise, claiming honorable mention for Bound Together. All three students are in Jason Splichal’s English classes and will be featured in the WFOP Calendar and receive a free copy along with a monetary prize. Check out the three poems posted on WFOP.org, as well as last year’s winners, which included two Eau Claire seventh graders as well.
