For all of you movie enthusiasts, the Film Society of Minneapolis/St. Paul presents the 2011 International Film Festival. Co-programmed by Tim Grady and Al Milgram, the festival runs April 14 through May 5 at St. Anthony’s Main Theatre in Minneapolis. This year’s fest features a number of French films in a slate entitled The Year of France in Minnesota. Of these is Dumas, a biopic about classic author Alexandre Dumas, and The Hedgehog, winner of Best Picture at the 2010 Seattle International Film Festival. Opening the festival are Score: A Hockey Musical (Canada) and Page One: Inside the New York Times. Page One director Andrew Rossi and NYT columnist and former editor of the Twin Cities Reader David Carr will be in attendance for post-screening discussion. Repeat attendees can look forward to the return of the popular Minnesota-Made Showcase featuring local films.
