The Grand Little Theatre has always been a fantastic place to see high-quality entertainment. And on March 8, it will not disappoint. Performing is the Bloomington, Indiana-based musical group Bro. Stephen. As a part of their 2011 Midwest Spring Tour, Bro. Stephen will be in Eau Claire with local powerhouses Meridene and Adelyn Rose. Started in 2009 by frontman and sole permanent member Scott Kirkpatrick, Bro. Stephen’s current members vary from show to show and come from all over the Midwest. The touring group consists of Kirkpatrick and Ben Rich on vocals and guitar, Kurt Friedrich of Ruby Rodeo Love (another Indiana-based group) on keyboard, bass, and vocals, and Eau Claire resident Shane Leonard of the Stoop Singers on drums and vocals. The show will include tracks from their upcoming album Baptist Girls. You may have seen Bro. Stephen in previous shows at various Eau Claire venues such as The Oxford and Infinitea. Meridene and Adelyn Rose are seasoned Chippewa Valley performers we all know and love. The indie jazz-folk outfit Adelyn Rose is comprised of Adelyn Strei (formerly of Feathe), Paul Brandt, Patrick Kuehn, and Leo Strei. Paul Brandt also plays keys for pop-rockers Meridene, other members of which include Trevor Ives, Dave Power, and Britta Hetzel.
