Former locals Scott McClean and Norbert Nesvacil – aka BeerScout and BeerKid – are fans of the late World Champion Green Bay Packers (insert excited cheering and applause here). Their website, PackerPalace, proves it. The focus for these Packer fans is not the endless, numbered lists of statistics that prove the awesomeness of the Green & Gold, but rather, it is the endless ways to make fun of other teams. Their unique-themed website featuring goofy animated shorts started in 1995 from an ancient computation machine. They snagged the theme before anyone else really had a chance to, and with only four Packer sites at the time, BeerKid and BeerScout set out to design a website dedicated to their favorite team, avoid NFL property lawyers, and to find Sasquatch. Oh yeah, Big Foot. Our Eau Claire natives transplanted themselves in Los Angeles and Scott (BeerScout) is currently working on the second edition of his book, Big News Prints, which details Big Foot sightings that go back to the early 1800s. PackerPalace links to a website that dives into the scientific side of Sasquatch’s existence. Yeah, seriously. With a huge fan following – us Sconnies do love our Packers – PackerPalace started with the retro Vince Lombardi/Curly Lambeau leather helmet look more than 10 years ago and continues today with yet one more reason to make fun of other teams. What other team holds thirteen championships? Visit PackerPalace.com and click on The Rockwood Lodge for their animated shorts.
