With the film schedule set and the venues chosen, it’s time to look ahead to the 6th Annual Beloit International Film Festival. Running Feb. 17 to 20, the festival will include shorts, documentaries, and feature-length films totaling more than 150 screenings that can be seen at a large number of venues throughout downtown Beloit. Audience members will be able to meet and discuss with filmmakers at many of the showings as indicated on the festival’s website. Featured at BIFF is a documentary drama entitled Sixteen Forty-Nine 16:49. The film, directed by Ruben Burgos, will be followed by a panel discussion at the Saturday showing. Also featured is a Silent Film Showcase where audiences will have the chance to see the 1926 Buster Keaton comedy The General. Ticket information and a full schedule for the festival are available at www.beloitfilmfest.org.
