In storage.

In storage.
I’m writing this as the first relatively significant snowfall is cascading down outside our office windows. Beautiful, sure – but I have yet to get my snowblower out of storage 10 miles outside of town. Yes, I have a shovel and that’s what I’ll have to use tonight. When it comes to snow removal at my place, I’m lucky because I have what surely must be one of the shortest driveways in town, however I’m on a corner so I have quite a bit of sidewalk to do instead. With all that time on the sidewalks, when I first started shoveling I often expected to see other neighbors out doing the same like you see in the movies. I’d hoped we’d cross paths and stop to complain about the snowplows or the last storm and bond over our collective shoveling misery. But that hasn’t really happened yet. Maybe it is just in the movies.
