Kickball Tournaments Abound

V1 Staff |

With no less than four tournaments on the horizon over the course of summer, it’s official – kickball has become a local adult phenomenon.

The first of said tournaments “kicks” off summer on Memorial Day weekend, May 28-29. Volume One and Leinie’s present the Chippewa Valley Rock-n-Roll Kickball Classic at Cinder City Park in Altoona. The two-dozen team tournament has seven rock bands, beer, BBQ, beanbags, and an Individual Kickball Triathlon. Visit VolumeOne.org/kickball for more info, or call 552-0457.

Following close behind is the Eau Claire Parks & Rec Co-Ed Kickball Tournament in Carson Park on June 19. Teams are guaranteed to play at least two games, and should call 839-4771 for more info.

Adding to the festivities of their towns’ annual festivals, Durand and Augusta each planned kickball tournaments this summer. The 47th Durand Funfest comes June 11-13, along with a video archery tournament, and you can check out DurandImprovementGroup.org for more info. Augusta Bean and Bacon Days is July 1-4 and also has an ATV race and demo derby. Check AugustaWI.com for info.
