The 20 oz. Art Show might only be halfway to sublime freedom, but it definitely will not be lacking in quality or style. Hosted by Gallery 111, the exhibit features four non-student artists from the area, including Douglas Johns, Dan Henning, Alizabeth Kaiser, and William Christensen. They will be presenting works in a variety of mediums, from paintings to sculpture, some of which will be available for purchase. Local bands Whale House and We Are the Willows will be setting the scene for the night, two bands handpicked by the 20 oz. artists themselves. Gallery 111 president Hannah Schroeder said, “Whale House is an enjoyable folk band from Menomonie and We Are the Willows is an up-and-coming band led by vocalist Peter Miller. Miller’s voice is so delicate and lovely it sounds as if it were light as a feather, floating on a cloud.” The music and the art should jive together for one fantastic evening, no matter how many ounces you might have.
