Jazz Fest Art Crawl Covers Downtown Eau Claire

Matt Ledger |

From April 7 to May 3, you’ll be able to actually see jazz all over Eau Claire. That’s the premise behind the Eau Claire Jazz Festival’s 2nd Annual Art Crawl, in which pieces of visual art fraught with the same kinetic energy and air of improvisation you’d find in any great jazz performance will be hung at establishments from Water to Madison streets, including Mogie’s, Mona Lisa’s, Acoustic Café, The Livery, and Stella Blues, among others. The crawl will kick off at 6 pm on April 7 with a Jump into Jazz reception held at the RCU Corporate Center downtown honoring the artists involved and showing off their pieces in tandem with the music they were inspired by. In addition, local artist Fred Sklenar will be creating a chalk art collage of notable jazz musicians that will be auctioned off to raise funds for the festival.
